Speech Pathology in Cabramatta — NDIS & Aged Care
Registered speech pathology for NDIS participants and aged care clients — communication, language, literacy and swallowing support at our Cabramatta clinic.

Overview
About our speech pathology service in Cabramatta
Speech pathologists work across far more than pronunciation. At Evolve Physiotherapy & Mastery in Cabramatta, our speech pathologist helps NDIS participants and aged care clients with speech clarity, understanding and using language, social communication, literacy, voice, stuttering and swallowing (dysphagia) — any of which can profoundly affect daily life, learning and relationships.
For NDIS participants across Fairfield, Liverpool and Southwest Sydney, therapy is goal-focused and linked to your plan — whether that is helping a child communicate at home and school, supporting an adult after stroke or brain injury, or implementing augmentative communication (AAC) for someone who cannot rely on speech alone.
For aged care clients, we focus on maintaining communication, managing swallowing difficulties safely, and supporting dignity and connection as needs change. Sessions can be in-clinic; home and facility visits may be available depending on location and clinical need.

FAQs
Speech Pathology — frequently asked questions
What does a speech pathologist treat?
Four broad areas: speech (how sounds are produced), language (understanding and using words), social communication (conversation skills), and swallowing/feeding. Some also work with literacy, stuttering and voice. Your goals determine which areas we focus on.
Is speech pathology funded by the NDIS?
Yes. Speech pathology sits under Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can access our speech pathologist directly. Bring your plan or plan details to your first appointment.
Do you work with aged care clients?
Yes. We support older adults with communication changes, cognitive-communication difficulties, and swallowing problems — helping maintain safety, dignity and connection with family and carers.
Do I need a GP referral?
No referral is required for private or NDIS-funded speech pathology. For aged care packages, funding pathways vary — contact our admin team and we will explain what applies to your situation.
Can therapy happen at home or in a facility?
Clinic sessions are our primary model at Cabramatta. Home and facility visits may be available depending on location and clinical need — ask when you book.
How long does speech therapy take?
It varies. Mild articulation issues may resolve in a few months; complex language or swallowing needs may require longer-term support with regular reviews. We set clear 12-week goals and only continue while there are measurable outcomes.
