The 12-week process
Three stages.
One
Get your pain under control
We work out what's aggravating it, what your body can currently tolerate, and what we can change to reduce your pain as much as realistically possible. When everything hurts, it's difficult to think about running, sport or confidence. First we calm things down and build momentum.
Two
Rebuild the trust
The fear. The hesitation. The overthinking. Your body is capable of more, but your mind is still trying to protect you from what happened before. We identify the movements and situations you're still afraid of and help you face them again in a structured, controlled way — asking whether you trust your body enough to move without fear making the decision for you.
Three
Build your maintenance plan
You finish knowing what to keep doing, how to respond to a setback, and how to keep progressing once the 12 weeks are up. We don't want you dependent on us. The goal is for you to feel capable of managing your own body again.
“I've already tried rehab”
So why would this be any different?
Fair question. Here's what this isn't.
- Another generic exercise sheet.
- Three sets of ten for six weeks.
- Pretending your pain doesn't exist.
- Throwing you back into sport and telling you to push through the fear.
We want to understand what your body can currently tolerate, what you still don't trust, what you're avoiding, and what your actual goal requires from you.
For you that might mean improving strength. It might mean managing pain better. It might mean gradually reintroducing the activity that scares you.
You can't heal what you don't acknowledge.
What we're working towards
Imagine this for a second.
- Going for a run without analysing every single step.
- Hiking with your friends without wondering whether your knee will flare up.
- Playing with your kids without holding yourself back.
- Walking into the gym and choosing exercises based on what you want to achieve — not what you're scared might happen.
- Stepping back onto the field, the court or the mats, and actually trusting yourself again.
Not because somebody told you that you should. Because you've built the capacity, done the work, and proved it to yourself.
Honest fit
Is this for you?
- You've had a knee or back injury and finished physio, but still hesitate.
- You've been cleared physically and still don't trust your body.
- You want to get back to sport, training, hiking or keeping up with your kids.
- You're willing to do structured work over 12 weeks, not look for a quick fix.
It's probably not for you if…
- You're in the acute stage of a brand new injury and haven't been assessed yet.
- You want passive treatment done to you rather than an active plan.
- You're looking for a guaranteed timeline or a promise of a specific outcome.
Before you book
Common questions.
What's included in the 12 weeks?
Personalised programming built around your injury, your current capacity and your goal, delivered through our app so you always know what today's session is. Weekly check-ins to review what's changed and adjust the plan — nothing sits still for a month waiting for a review. Fortnightly 1:1 calls with your physio to work through the setbacks and the decisions you're unsure about. And ongoing support for both sides of recovery: the loading you need, and the fear, hesitation and confidence that decide whether you use it.
What happens on the call?
It's a free 15-minute Zoom call with Shraz. We talk through what's been happening, what you've already tried, what you're still struggling with and what you actually want to get back to. You'll leave with more clarity on what may be keeping you stuck and what your next step should look like — whether or not you join. It's a discovery call, so it doesn't include a physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis or treatment.
Am I committing to 12 weeks by booking?
No. The first step is a conversation, not a commitment. If we believe the Academy is a good fit we'll explain exactly how it works. If we don't believe it's right for you, we'll tell you that too. There's no pressure to join just because you got on the call.
I've already done physio. Why would this be different?
Because this isn't another exercise sheet. We look at what your body can currently tolerate, what you still don't trust, what you're avoiding and what your goal actually requires — then rebuild the physical capacity and the confidence to use it.
Is this only for athletes?
No. For one person recovery means martial arts, for another it's golf, for another it's running, hiking or simply moving through life without second-guessing their body. The goal isn't to turn everyone into an athlete.
Is it fully online?
Yes. Programming is delivered through our app, with weekly check-ins and fortnightly 1:1 calls. If you're local to Cabramatta and want hands-on assessment as well, you can book in clinic separately.
Which injuries do you work with?
The program is built around knee and back injuries. If you're dealing with something else, mention it on the call and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
Does this replace seeing a doctor or psychologist?
No. This is physiotherapy-led rehab coaching. It complements medical and psychological care — it doesn't replace it. If something needs another professional, we'll say so.
